Selling across an ocean

While the stock sits abroad,
so does the business.

Selling is the easy part. What comes after it is not. We deal with these three every day.

Move the stock to Taiwan and these stop being your emergencies. They become our ordinary working day.

How it works

From the moment goods arrive
to the moment they leave.

  1. 01Receiving and put-awayWe count the goods in carton by carton, shelve them item by item, and give every SKU a fixed location, so picking and stock counts both hold up later.
  2. 02Receiving your ordersSend the day’s orders as an Excel file or a form. System integration can be discussed; in practice we still take orders by hand.
  3. 03Picking and packingPicked to the order, packed, labelled. Three to five thousand orders a day; tell us ahead of a sale event and we schedule overtime.
  4. 04Handover to your carrierWe hand the parcels to the carrier you nominate. Shopee sellers change nothing in their platform settings.
  5. 05Returns back inWe sign for returned parcels, open and inspect them, put the good ones back on the shelf and report the rest to you.

Returns

When goods come back,
someone is there to take them.

The hardest part of selling from abroad is usually not shipping out — it is shipping back. A returned parcel has to go somewhere, and that somewhere cannot be overseas. You cannot sign for it yourself, and you cannot open the box to see what actually went wrong.

Why this location

Containers drive straight in.
No transloading outside.

Cross-border stock mostly arrives by sea. Off the ship, containers run down Provincial Highway 61 along the west coast directly to Dayuan without crossing any city centre; going north or south afterwards, National Highway 2A connects to National Highway 1. The warehouse sits on that network, so full-size container trucks get in and turn around on site.

Who we work with

These are the people who keep stock with us.

If your situation is on this list, one call is usually enough to work out how we would fit together.

How pricing works

Two charges: the goods sitting here,
and the goods going out.

Which method suits you depends on what your goods look like. Here is how each one is calculated; the numbers come after we have seen your stock.

Storage

By pallet

Bulk goods that arrive and sit by the pallet, with consistent dimensions. Pallet positions are easy to count and this is usually the cheaper route.

By piece or by volume

Small items, many SKUs, awkward to stack. Charging for the space actually occupied is fairer here.

Fulfilment

By order

One price per order. When orders contain few items, this is easy to forecast and easy to reconcile.

By item

If your orders routinely contain several items, charging by item tracks the real work more closely.

FAQ

The questions we get most.

Are 3PL, overseas warehouse and cloud warehouse the same thing?

They describe the same service under different local names. In English it is third-party logistics, or 3PL. In Taiwan people say third-party warehousing or fulfilment; on the Chinese mainland the e-commerce trade calls it a cloud warehouse. "Overseas warehouse" refers to a seller holding stock inside the market they sell to — so for a foreign seller selling into Taiwan, a Taiwan overseas warehouse is simply a Taiwanese 3PL. That is what Chunfeng Logistics does in Dayuan, Taoyuan: your goods sit in our warehouse, we pick, pack and hand them to your carrier as orders arrive, and we receive, inspect and restock whatever buyers send back.

What is a Taiwan overseas warehouse, and how does it differ from consolidated shipping?

With an overseas warehouse you ship a batch of stock to Taiwan first, and it is despatched locally once a Taiwanese buyer orders. Consolidated shipping works the other way round: nothing moves until the buyer orders, and the parcel is then sent from abroad, so the goods stay outside Taiwan throughout. The difference is simply where the stock is right now. Once it is in Taiwan, delivery times, freight costs and returns handling all follow a different logic. Chunfeng Logistics provides the first model from Dayuan, Taoyuan: receiving, put-away, picking, packing, handover to your carrier, and returns.

How are Shopee orders shipped? Do I have to change carrier?

No change is needed. Shopee sellers keep the carrier already arranged through the platform. Send us the day’s orders, and we pick, pack, apply the platform shipping label and hand the parcels over when the carrier collects — not one setting in your Shopee account has to change. If you sell through other channels, you nominate the carrier, and we can suggest ones we have worked with.

Is there a minimum stock level or minimum order volume?

No. We set no minimum stock quantity and no minimum monthly order volume. Storage is charged on the pallet positions or the space you actually occupy, so you pay for what you use; fulfilment is charged per order or per item, so you pay for what ships. Low volume does not attract a separate minimum charge — a few dozen orders a month and a few thousand are calculated the same way.

How are customer returns handled?

Returned parcels come to our warehouse in Dayuan, Taoyuan, where we sign for them on your behalf, open them, check whether the item is intact and the accessories complete, and report back to you. If something is damaged we photograph it, so that from the other side of an ocean you can still see the condition it came back in. Sound items are restocked and become sellable again; for damaged or incomplete ones, you decide what happens next. This is the part that is hardest to manage from abroad — you cannot ask a buyer to post a parcel overseas.

How is the service priced?

There are two charges: storage while the goods sit here, and fulfilment when they go out. Storage can be calculated by pallet position or by piece and volume; fulfilment can be calculated per order or per item. Which works out cheaper depends on your goods — bulk, high-volume, uniformly sized stock usually favours pallets, while small items across many SKUs with scattered order volume usually favour per-item. Firm numbers need a look at your stock and your shipping pattern, so call and describe them and we can work it out with you.
